Tall George III Oak Chest of Drawers c.1810

Late Georgian country vernacular oak chest of drawers of unusual dimensions and drawer configuration c.1810. A little taller than most at 41", but just 35½" wide. Solid oak top over two short drawers and four long drawers of graduated height. Solid oak drawer fronts with cockbeaded edges and the original brass handles featuring a thistle motif to the backplates. Solid oak sides, ogee base moulding and raised on tall shaped bracket feet front at the front and sides. Ash drawer linings and backboards. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
