Burr Walnut & Marble Top Commode c.1860

Superb French marble top commode chest of drawers c.1860. Original and well figured grey marble top with rounded corners and a moulded edge. Over a chest of four long drawers. Particularly well figured burr walnut veneers arranged in a striking symmetrical pattern across the front. Shallow top drawer with shaped front continued on the sides, three deeper drawers within a moulded surround with good quality brass knobs. Walnut veneered sides and raised on a moulded plinth also veneered to match. Solid oak drawer linings and oak panelled back. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied for the top drawer.
