Sheraton Style Bow Front Sideboard c.1820

Fine quality early 19th.c. mahogany sideboard c.1820. Bow fronted with two drawers at the centre flanked with large drawers to either side. Well figured mahogany veneers to the top with a raised back edge topped with three brass urn finials. Fine inlaid stringing and satinwood crossbanding to the edges and repeated on the drawer fronts. Note the symmetrically arranged flame mahogany veneers to the large drawer fronts and the lovely sunburst motif marquetry spandrels to the central frieze drawer. Raised on square tapering legs with moulded block feet, also inlaid at the front. Oak drawer linings. The handles are later 19th.c. replacements. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
