Zebra Hide Table c.1960

Very unusual African safari theme zebra hide coffee table c.1960. Made from a zebra hide stretched with scores of twisted strips of hide across a wooden drum with unusual conical base. Raised on tripod legs, also covered in hide, with hoof feet. Presented as found, with obvious wear to the top though the skin remains taught across the drum.
