Mahogany & Marble Top Console Table c.1840

Superb mid 19th.c. mahogany and marble top console table c.1840. Original grey marble top with rounded front corners and a moulded edge. On a well figured flame mahogany veneered base with a single oak lined drawer hidden in the frieze. Unusual cupid's bow shaped front supports with moulded edges over a shaped plinth veneered to match. Raised at the front on particularly well carved scrolling acanthus feet in solid mahogany. Some old wear and chips to the marble and repairs to the veneers at bottom of the rear stiles. Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
