Two 17th. Carved Oak Putti Corbels

Two delightful 17th.c. carved oak corbels in the form of a classical putti c.1680. Different faces and detail to the lower portions but of matching proportions and with the same egg and dart moulding around the tops. Very nice treatment of the hair, face and torsos. Rising from architectural bases with grape and tassel detail over incised cartouches with traces of gold paint. Presented as found with some wear and repairs, a metal fixing point to the back of each.
