Walnut & Marble Top Console Table c.1830

French Louis Philippe walnut and marble top console table c.1840. Dark grey marble top (note the tiny fossils within) with rounded edges. On a well figured walnut veneered base with a single drawer hidden in the apron. Curving and tapering front supports over an open plinth with concave front edge, raised on large carved claw feet. Note how the veneers are arranged into symmetrical pattern across the piece. A couple of small chips to the surface of the marble. Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
