Narrow Mahogany Biedermeier Bookcase c.1860

Mid 19th.c. Biedermeier style French mahogany bookcase c.1860. Useful narrow dimensions, just 40" wide. Long glazed door fitted inside with three adjustable shelves (internal depth 12") over a single drawer in the base. Particularly well figured flame mahogany veneers laid in a symmetrical pattern across the front of the bookcase. Tall cornice and crisp moulded detail to the door and the surround and also to the base. Period brass escutcheon and drawer handle. Oak lined interior, oak backboards and drawer linings. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
