Regency Mahogany Fold Over Supper Table c.1830

Beautiful Regency era mahogany fold supper or tea table c.1830. Stands flat against the wall as an elegant console or side table or twist and open the top to make a square supper table for four people. Very attractive example of the form with particularly good carved anthemion motif and acanthus leaves at the centre of the apron. Matched mahogany veneers to the inner leaves and crossbanded edges. Egyptian inspired papyrus carved column on a circular plinth and superb carved claw feet with small brass castors recessed underneath. Presented as found in very good original condition, the top partially faded over time. Simply cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
