Oak Welsh Dresser c.1760

Late 18th.c oak Welsh dresser of a style produced in here in North Wales c.1760. Original plate rack with three shelves, a deeper canopy and top shelf, shaped sides and tall shaped 'shoes'. Over a cupboard base featuring three drawers over two large cupboard doors plus, quite unusually, a small central door and drawer. Good early timbers of fantastic colour and patina. The slim applied panels to the doors are typical of those found on Conwy valley dressers and longcase clocks of the period. Panelled oak sides and back to the base, oak drawer linings, backboards and floor. Later handles and missing the internal partitions between the cupboards. Otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
