Eight Feet Long Oak Dresser Base c.1790

Rare eight feet long George III oak dresser base c.1790. Two plank top with a simple moulded edge over an unusual configuration of two short and two long drawers. Oak drawer fronts with cockbeaded edges and the original brass swan neck handles. With an attractively shaped edge to the apron below the drawers. Raised on square oak stiles front and rear. Solid oak sides, pine drawer linings, elm back board. Patched repairs toward the rear corners of the top where a rack had been fitted. Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
