Set of 8 Regency Mahogany Dining Chairs c.1820

Handsome set of 8 Regency period mahogany dining chairs c.1820. Six chairs plus a pair of matching carver armchairs. Solid mahogany frames with slightly curved top rails featuring a flame mahogany panel over beautifully carved and pierced back stretchers. Gracefully shaped rear stiles and arms each with roll-over terminals and a reeded detail to the front and upper face. Crisp turned supports to the arms, note also the carved teardrop shape inside the arm terminals. Webbed seats in a serviceable lining fabric, ready for reupholstery. Raised on turned and tapering front legs. Excellent colour and condition to the frames, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
