William IV Mahogany Hall Tree c.1835.

Superb William IV mahogany hall stand, or hall tree, c.1835. Eight large turned pegs for hats and coats etc arranged across the four gracefully curving branches. Over a stick/umbrella stand with turned stay and, quite unusually, a row of five small turned pegs for hanging. Raised sides to the plinth which sits on low turned bun feet. Crisp carved detail to the top and where the branches meet the centre support. Some old repairs and restorations, most obvious to the upper left hand branch. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
