Welsh Potboard Dresser Base with Spice Drawers c.1790

George III oak potboard Welsh dresser base with spice drawers, Montgomeryshire c.1790. Split level top with a raised shelf above five slim spice drawers and with shaped 'shoes' at the ends. Over three larger drawers and an apron of three pointed ogee arches, continued on the sides. Particularly well figured timber to the drawer fronts and apron. Raised on turned front legs and chamfered rear stiles joined with an open potboard display shelf. Later turned wooden knobs and repairs to the bottoms of the legs. Otherwise excellent condition and colour. Restored cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
