Welsh Oak Potboard Dresser Base c.1820
Early 19th.c. Welsh oak dresser base, South Wales c.1810. Single plank top with a moulded edge. Over three large drawers plus two slim 'knife' drawers with cockbeaded drawer fronts and later brass handles. Unusual apron below the drawers with a pointed arch at the centre and crisp moulded edge. Raised on six nicely turned column legs over an open potboard display shelf with a broad pine board and a plate stand. Oak rails below the shelf, moulded trim and shaped bracket feet front and rear. Deal drawer linings and back panel. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
