Welsh Oak Kitchen Cupboard & Drawers c.1830
Very useful early 19th.c Welsh oak housekeeper's or kitchen cupboard with drawers c.1830. In two pieces with a two door cupboard top divided into two halves and fitted with two shelves to each side (internal depth 16). Over a high waisted chest of drawers base with two short drawers and three long drawers of graduated height. Flared and moulded cornice over a mahogany veneered frieze and mahogany crossbanded door panels. Chamfered front corners either side of the doors. Moulded edge to the drawer fronts and original turned mahogany knobs. Applied mouldings to the waist and bottom edge. Raised on the original tall turned feet front and rear. Solid oak sides and panelled deal backs to both sections. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Fitted with new locks to both doors, key supplied.
