Walnut & Marble Top Bombe Commode c.1930

Beautiful early 20th.c. walnut bombe shaped commode chest of drawers c.1930. Original highly figured marble top with serpentine shaped and moulded edges. Over three large drawers of graduated heights. Of extraordinary curving and bulbous form with highly figured burr walnut veneers across the piece and extensive satinwood inlay. Original decorative cast brass handles and escutcheons. Shaped apron with raised mouldings continued on the legs with pierced brass mounts at the front. Repairs to the marble, well hidden in the figuring and reinforced on the underside. Otherwise very good colour and condition.
