Very Large Indian Brass Table c.1900

Remarkable large Indian brass table by Messrs Noor Bux Khuda Bux & Co. of Jaipur c.1900. By far the biggest such table we have ever come across, measuring four feet in diameter. Brass tray top with a 14 lobed 2" deep recess at the centre surround by a broad repoussé work border with the dense raised pattern against a dimpled ground. With a rope twist patterned edge and large engraved maker's inscription on the underside. The top sits loose on a carved hardwood base (diameter 34") with turned elements and mashrabiya detail to the stretchers. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
