Small Georgian Inlaid Mahogany Chest of Drawers c.1810

Charming little George III bow front mahogany chest of drawers c.1810. Useful small size, just 36" wide at the feet. Caddy top (with no overhang or applied mouldings) in well figured flame mahogany with inlaid bands of satinwood and mahogany crossbanding and ebony inlaid stringing to the edge. Over two short and two long drawers of graduated height. Cockbeaded drawer fronts with inlaid crossbanding and lovely inlaid marquetry spandrels at the corners. The brass handles are later though of the right style for the period. Shaped apron to the front and sides with slightly out-swept front feet. Solid mahogany sides and drawer linings. Very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
