Small Gueridon Centre Table c.1830

Neat little early 19th.c. French Empire marble top centre table or gueridon c.1830. 32″ diameter, a little smaller than most of the tables we see in this style. Original grey marble top, the edge moulded with a border of concentric rings designed to stop spilt liquids from running over the sides. Slim mahogany veneered apron on oak groundwork. Reeded urn shaped pedestal with a turned base raised on three good Empire style legs carved with acanthus leaves and large paw feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
