Sheraton Style Serving Table c.1890

Large late 19th.c. Sheraton revival mahogany side table c.1890. Solid mahogany top with a serpentine front and a deep crossbanded edge with ebony and box wood stringing. Over three drawers with shaped fronts featuring matched flame mahogany veneers with fine inlaid stringing, cockbeaded edges and the original gilded brass handles. Amboyna wood oval inlays between the drawers, inlaid bottom edge, continued on the sides. Raised on long tapering square legs, the front also inlaid to match. Solid mahogany sides and oak drawer linings. Old repaired split in the top, otherwise very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
