Set of Six Welsh Cottage Dining Chairs c.1810

Good set of six late Georgian Welsh oak cottage dining chairs c.1810. Simple but rather elegant design, the tapered backrests with straight top rails over moulded slats and a double back stretcher divided by turned balls. Board seats (height 17") on tapering square stiles with a stretcher to each side for strength. Note the pegged construction. Excellent colour and condition, simply cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
