Set of Six Bentwood Bistro Dining Chairs by Thonet c.1900

Superb set of six bentwood bistro dining chairs by Thonet, the celebrated inventors of bentwood furniture, c.1900. Simple beechwood frames with backrest and seat panels featuring elaborate pressed decoration. Legs swept slightly outwards for stability and joined with a hoop stretcher. Paper labels for Thonet of Wien (Vienna) to the underside. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
