Rosewood Canterbury c.1860

Mid 19th.c. rosewood Canterbury or book tidy c.1860. Three 16" wide x 4" deep sections to hold books, magazines etc. between crossed dividers joined with turned spindles at the upper points. Carved wreath design to the front, the shape of which is continued on the middle dividers with the carving repeated at the rear of the Canterbury. With a useful drawer in the base with turned knobs and oak drawer linings. Turned pommels at the corners. Raised on short turned legs with the original brass castors. Very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
