Pair of Signal Cannon by Stafsjö Bruk c.1960

Splendid pair of functioning miniature 'signal' cannon by the celebrated Swedish foundry Stafsjö Bruk c.1960. 10" cast iron barrels on wooden carriages with steel fittings and large iron wheels cast with the Stafsjo Bruk name. Note the hole or priming vent in the top side of the barrels. These cannons were built to function as signal or salute cannon and there are videos online of them being fired! Very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

Founded in 1666 Stafsjo Bruk produced cannon for the Swedish military for 200 years (despite destruction by the invading Russian army in 1719) before shifting to civil output. The company continues to this day producing high specification valves.
