Pair of Large Carved Walnut Armchairs c.1930

Good looking pair of large Louis XIV style open armchairs with tapestry covers c.1930. Shaped backrests and generously proportioned sprung seats with woolwork tapestry covers featuring fantastical winged beasts and foliate forms. Walnut frames with scrolling acanthus to the arms and arm supports. Turned and block legs and stretchers also extensively carved and with turned feet below. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
