Pair of Iron & Brass Hall Chairs c.1920

Remarkable pair of wrought iron and brass Savonarola style side or hall chairs c.1920. Heavy wrought iron frames with lovely fluted brass pommel tops front and rear. Backrests, arms and seats upholstered in a crimson velvet chenille, with loose cushions to the seat. Twist detail to the arm supports, rings to the centre of the frames below the seat front and rear, twisted side stretchers and shaped pad feet front and rear. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
