Pair of Art Nouveau Beds c.1900

Beautiful pair of Art Nouveau single beds c.1900. Head and foot boards with shapely moulded walnut frames of organic form. Asymmetrical panels veneered in walnut with a lovely flower head detail inlaid in contrasting woods to the opposite corners. Note also the little leaves carved into the feet. A true pair with a moulded and veneered rail to one side of each bed whilst the other is plain oak, suggesting they were designed to stand side by side as a double bed with the plainer rails hidden and forming a symmetrical design across the two beds. To take 42" x 75" large single mattresses. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
