Oval Walnut Marble Top Gueridon Centre Table c.1860

Unusual oval (rather than circular) marble top gueridon centre table c.1860. Original 49" x 34" white marble top with a raised edge designed to prevent spilt drinks or the condensation from a bottle running over the sides. Over a walnut veneered apron. Raised on a splendid solid walnut base with a broad turned column pedestal and four very well carved legs with large paw feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
