Plum Pudding Mahogany Table with Four Drawers c.1870
Fine quality oval mahogany centre or library table with drawers c.1870. Beautiful 'plum pudding' mahogany veneered top with a gadroon carved edge. Four small mahogany lined drawers in the apron, also veneered to match, with brass escutcheons and a carved moulding to the lower edge. Raised on column pedestal with crisply carved acanthus leaf detail. Four legs, also carved with acanthus leaves and with scrolling feet with the original wooden wheel castors below. Quite a lot of impressed marks to the top (from being used as a writing desk) only obvious when they catch the light. Otherwise very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
