Oak & Mahogany Crossbanded Welsh Dresser Base c.1820

Early 19th.c oak Welsh dresser base, mid Wales c.1820. Two plank oak top with a mahogany crossbanded border and edge. Over three drawers with mahogany crossbanded drawer fronts with inlaid stringing, inlaid ebony escutcheons and ebonised wooden knobs. Very well shaped apron below the drawers and raised on long tapering and turned front legs. Oak panelled sides and oak rear stiles. Pine drawer linings and backboard. Some old marks to the top, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
