Nest of Tables by Waring & Gillows of Lancaster c.1920

Fine quality nest of four small side tables by the celebrated English cabinet makers Waring & Gillow of Lancaster c.1920. Tops with symmetrically arranged mahogany veneers laid onto solid mahogany groundwork with a carved thumb moulded edge. Blind fretwork carved apron to the smallest table front and rear. Shaped blind fretwork brackets at the sides of each table over square legs with a carved bead detail at the outer edges. Raised on swept feet with neat little square pads and joined with stretchers for stability. Original maker’s label to the underside. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
