Narrow Side Cabinet with Waterfall Shelves c.1860

Unusually narrow mid 19th.c. mahogany side cabinet with 'waterfall' bookshelves c.1860. Just 19½" wide at the feet. With a three shelves of graduated depth (5½", 7", 8½") raised on slim turned columns and with a well figured solid mahogany backboard. Over a left hand opening cupboard fitted with a single shelf inside (depth 12½"). Flame mahogany veneered door panel with an unusual double arch shaped surround and carved acanthus leaf detail at the centre. Solid mahogany sides. Shaped and crossbanded apron and legs to the front and sides. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
