Mid-Century Farmyard Scene Oil Painting Dated 1959

Mid 20th.c. oil paining on board dated 1959. Seen through the open door of a cow shed a figure sat hunched on a three legged stool milks a pale brown cow. Painted in muted colours in a primitive modernist style rather reminiscent of the works of LS Lowry. Artist is unknown but signed 'Schelstraete' in the top left hand corner of the painting and dated '59. Presented as found in a moulded and painted wooden frame.
