Marquetry Inlaid Side Cabinet c.1960

Very smart Louis XV style French marquetry inlaid side cabinet c.1960. Two door cabinet fitted inside with three adjustable shelves (internal depth 12½"). A useful cabinet ideal in an office perhaps (big enough to store box files) or in a bedroom for clothes, shoes handbags etc. Superb inlaid marquetry work to the doors, featuring Classical vases and flowers within contrasting crossbanded and inlaid borders. Moulded cornice with an applied brass bead moulding and large gilded metal mounts to the shoulders and at the centre below the doors. Symmetrical quarter veneers to the sides also with inlaid and crossbanded borders. Raised on short shaped legs at the front with further gilded mounts to the feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
