Very Large Mahogany 'President' Partners Desk by Titchmarsh & Goodwin

Impressively proportioned Georgian style mahogany 'President' partner’s pedestal desk by the bespoke English cabinet makers Titchmarsh & Goodwin of Ipswich c.1980. Huge 78″ x 48″ desk top with three tooled leather work surfaces and a serpentine shaped and moulded edge over three drawers to each side. Raised on twin pedestals, each with four drawers of graduated depth to each side, with a large (30" x 24") kneehole between. Concave drawer fronts with matched veneers, cockbeaded edges and superb quality brass handles. Attractive double column carved detail to the corners, raised mouldings and applied carved floral detail to the sides and raised on shaped bracket feet. Solid oak drawer linings, original locks stamped T&G Ipswich and a maker's label inside one of the drawers. Some minor marks to the leather and one replacement escutcheon. Otherwise excellent condition and colour. Six keys supplied.
