Mahogany Linen Press c.1860

Impressive mid 19th.c. mahogany linen press c.1860. Two door top fitted inside with four sliding shelves which can be arranged as preferred. Over a chest of two short and two long drawers of graduated height. Featuring exceptionally well figured and unusual burr mahogany veneers across the door and drawer fronts. Broad moulded cornice, doors with raised arch mouldings and a run of three carved corbels over reeded uprights. Moulded edge to the drawer fronts with large turned mahogany knobs. Raised on a shallow plinth. Well figured flame mahogany veneers at the sides of the cabinet. Solid mahogany sides to the slides and the drawers. Excellent colour and condition with original locks and latches. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
