Low Oak Dresser Base c.1800

Unusual early 19th.c. oak open dresser base c.1800. Raised back with a groove for standing plates in the top and three 'spice' drawers in the front. Over a low base (just 26½" tall) with a two plank top. Two large drawers below plus a smaller middle drawer over the very attractively shaped detail at the centre of the apron. Moulded drawer fronts with later 19th.c. brass handles. Oak drawer linings. Raised on shaped cabriole front legs, the straight rear legs are later replacements. Great rustic character with some earlier repairs and restorations. Very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
