Long Oak Tavern Settle c.1790
Late 18th.c. oak tavern settle c.1790. Six feet long, with a sloping backrest featuring four lovely ogee, raised and fielded panels. Simple shaped arms on turned supports. Later seat made from two oak boards, with a particularly attractive cupid's bow apron below. Raised on cabriole front legs with pad feet. Sturdy square rear styles joined with a long stretcher for extra strength. Very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
