Slope Top Pedestal Desk c.1890
Large late 19th.c. walnut slope top pedestal desk c.1890. The top with two small banks of drawers (held closed with hinged and lockable pilasters) with raised edges, either side of an open shelf and a gallery of turned spindles. Sloped desk top and flat sides each with red leather skivers over two drawers. The slope lifts to reveal a fitted interior with two small drawers plus pigeon holes. Raised on twin pedestals each with three drawers of graduated height either side of a large kneehole (22" x 23"). Moulded drawer fronts each retaining the original brass handles. Moulded plinth with castors below. Very good condition, fitted with new skivers, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied for the drawers and slope.
