Marble Top Gueridon Centre Table c.1860
Unusually large mid 19th.c. French marble top and mahogany gueridon centre table c.1860. 43½" diameter white marble top with a particularly good broad moulded edge. Over a flame mahogany veneered apron with inlaid ebony and boxwood stringing and a bead moulding around the bottom edge. Raised on an octagonal column, also veneered and inlaid, and four unusually shaped legs with reeded edges. Some wear to the veneers, generally very good colour and condition, restored cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
