Large Leather Top Writing Table

Unusually large George III style mahogany and leather top writing table c.1960. 75" x 33½" desk top with a pale green single piece tooled leather writing surface within a crossbanded surround and with a moulded edge. Over four lockable drawers in the front with solid mahogany cockbeaded drawer fronts and brass swan neck handles. The drawer fronts are repeated as dummies, complete with handles, on the rear of the desk. Knee height below the drawers is just over 21". Raised on solid mahogany supports joined with a high stretcher for strength with swept legs with moulded detail and brass feet and castors to the front and rear. Minor wear to the top, generally excellent condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
