Large Extending Mahogany Dining Table c.1860

Impressively proportioned mid 19th.c. mahogany dining table c.1860. 56" wide and extending from 68" to a maximum length of 114" with two additional leaves to comfortably seat 10 - 12 people. The extra width means it is possible to seat two people at the rounded ends. Solid mahogany leaves with a rounded edge. Raised on good shaped and reeded legs with large ceramic castors with beaded brass collars. Telescopic hardwood frame and quality corkscrew mechanism. The two additional leaves appear to be later replacements and do have a slight concave bow to them. Otherwise good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Winding handle supplied.
