Inlaid and Brass Mounted Walnut Bookcase c.1880

Late 19th.c. inlaid and brass mounted walnut bookcase c.1880. Two door glazed display top fitted with three shelves (depth 8") and lined in an ivory coloured moire fabric. Over a wider two door cupboard base with a single shelf inside. Well figured walnut veneers across the piece with superb inlaid marquetry work to the lower door panels and further inlaid detail across the front. Extensive and original decorative brass mouldings and mounts to the cornice, doors and pilasters. Raised on a chamfered plinth with shaped detail to the lower edge. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
