English Oak Country House Cellarette c.1860.

Fabulous mid 19th.c. oak cellarette or wine cooler c.1860. Of the quality and size to be found in large country houses of the period. Dramatic classical sarcophagus form with architectural carvings and pyramid finial to the lid. Applied carved mouldings repeated to each side, conforming plinth raised on turned feet with original brass castors recessed into the underside. Green baize lined interior with dividers for eight large bottles (could be removed if required). Original five leaver lock and receiver. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
