French Empire Marble Top Console Table c.1820

Early 19th.c. French Empire mahogany and marble top console table c.1820. Standing 39" tall, this is a little higher that many consoles we see. Original inch-thick white marble top over a single drawer. Turned column front legs with quality tooled brass mounts to the terminals top and bottom. Raised on tall plinth bases and joined with a shaped stretcher shelf. With a patch repair to the drawer front and later reinforcements below the shelf. Otherwise good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
