Eight Feet Long Oak Sideboard
Impressively long 17th.c. style oak sideboard or dresser base c.1960. Measuring eight feet (244cm) in length. Solid oak top with a moulded edge. Over four drawers and two cupboards, each with two doors and fitted with a single shelf inside (internal depth 21½"). Attractive carved upper panels to the doors and a carved frieze across the rail below cupboard doors in the style of 17th.c Westmorland or North Lancashire furniture. Moulded rails and mullions and iron H hinges. Moulded edges to the drawer fronts and turned knobs. Oak panelled sides and oak back and floor boards. Some minor wear to the top, otherwise very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
