Edwardian Mahogany Vitrine with Painted Decoration c.1910

Fine quality Edwardian mahogany vitrine or display cabinet with hand painted decoration c.1910. Single door cabinet with glazed front and sides, fitted inside with two glass shelves (depth 14") and one solid shelf with useful blind storage below. Back and lower shelf lined in pale grey fabric. Thumb moulded cornice over a flame mahogany veneered frieze with satinwood crossbanding and lovely hand painted floral swags. Solid mahogany frame with inlaid stringing and painted harebell garlands either side of the door. Oval flame mahogany door panel with inlaid spandrels and an inlaid and crossbanded edge also painted with a larger design of flower swags and a ribbon bow over crossed music instruments and sheet music. Ogee base moulding and raised on tapering square legs with spade feet and inlaid stringing to the front. Excellent colour and condition, relined cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
