Brass Mounted Bureau Plat c.1930

Smart French Louis XVI style mahogany bureau plat or writing desk c.1930. 57" x 29½" top with a tooled leather work surface within a crossbanded border an with a good quality brass edge moulding. With matching slides (width 13") drawing out from from both ends of the desk. Over five lockable and mahogany lined drawers arranged around the raised kneehole. Brass mouldings to the drawer fronts, continued on the sides and rear of the desk. On turned and tapering legs with brass mounts to the tops, inlaid brass flutes and brass finial feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
