Art Nouveau Walnut & Marble Top Dresser c.1900

Very attractive Art Nouveau walnut dresser or side cabinet c.1900. Three door cupboard top with glazed centre and adjustable shelves, over a two door marble top cabinet with two drawers in the waist and fitted with a single adjustable shelf (internal depth 16"). Fabulous carved vine leaf and grape detail to the projecting front corners of the top repeated on the lower door fronts and in the beautiful gilded handles and escutcheons. Note also the organic lines of the cornice and aprons, the rounded shapes of the door panels and drawer fronts and the sinuous carved detail of the front stiles and feet. Symmetrically arranged walnut veneers and very well figured original marble top with a moulded edge. Superior quality with solid walnut groundwork and side panels, oak back panels, shelves and drawer linings. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
